Hello! My name is Sam and I am a humble Illustration student (hobo) at the fine institutes of East Carolina University (ECU). My dream is to become a successful Illustrator of both graphic novels and children’s books. I spend my free time drawing, dreaming, entertaining my Fiancé, reading, swimming, and eating (in this order).

Samraeduke.blogspot.com is my personal portfolio blog. It is a place where I can keep track of my artistic progress both in skill and in professionalism. I have some trouble with sounding professional when commenting on my own art and I'm trying to train myself to take my art seriously. To me art is fun and I can’t help but make silly comments on my art and making myself sound like a complete jackass (I’m seriously working on this).

I’ve dabbled in private commissions since 2005. I have very minor experience in graphic/commercial design, character design, tattoo design, theater/set design and painting, photography, ceramics, and (my favorite) Illustration. I still have a lot to learn in the ways of Illustration as a profession if I someday hope to support myself through art.
